The idea of this project, carried out as part of my second year of DNA Graphic Design, is to illustrate only by layout and typography, a figure of speech attributed in advance. The antanaclase, the figure of speech that I inherited, is a figure of speech that consists of a repetition of a word or an expression giving it another meaning that is also received but still has its own meaning. For example: "THE HEART HAS ITS REASONS WHICH REASON DOES NOT KNOW." To illustrate this principle, I have used different typographic methods, such as the entangling of two typographies, to show the double meaning and the double level of reading of an antanaclase. I also used the idea from the example above, showing the dual image of the heart: the anatomical heart and the symbolic heart.
Disk cover for "Prison Vide"
This project, carried out during my second year of DNA Graphic Design, consisted of making a visual for the cover of a piece that we like. For me it was “Prison Vide” from l'Or du Commun. The idea behind this visual is mainly based on an idea of symbolism : the open wolf trap, literally an “empty prison”, with a top view representing the mathematical sign of the void. This double meaning is based on the name of the piece, using lettering echoing the pattern of prison bars, all resting on a green ground, the color of freedom, but also similar to fresh grass, which inmates no longer see.
Illegal posters concept
The purpose of this personal project was to explore the limits of legality in posting, but also to make fun of where the posters are put. The interest of posters therefore lies entirely in the place where they are displayed. The context that the viewer notices here constitutes all the humor of the poster, where it would be absent in another medium. Project impossible to carry out as part of my studies, it was however important for me to see where the legality of creation and installation stops, for the purpose of framing, marking out my academic and personal production.
Digital Art Pioneer
Artist book for Laurence Gartel
Edition of an artist's book dedicated to the artist Laurence Gartel, pioneer of digital art. This book consists of a central edition, four leaflets, four posters and a color chart, all gathered in a box. I chose Laurence Gartel to be the subject of my artist's book, on the one hand because her work and her graphic vocabulary speak to me, I am sensitive to it through my own graphic and artistic practice, but also because her work constitutes an important material in the realization of interesting and original supports, present in this artist's book. This box is substantial, and overflowing with color, just like the work of Laurence Gartel, who later inspired me in my work.
Typographic magazine about the Man impact on his environment
Edition of a typographic magazine illustrating the impact of Man on his environment through the prism of the 4 elements: water, earth, fire and air. This magazine contains typography only. No image, no illustration. Only the typography occupies the pages of the magazine, using layouts that add a level of reading in addition to the text.
Object representing a Regis Jauffret-like novel
This project consisted of writing a short story like Régis Jauffret. I wrote this last one on a rather taboo subject : underage prostitutes in Cambodia. As a result of the writing, I made an object illustrating the short story, here a fake perfume bottle. The main character of my short story, a very pretty prostitute outside, but quite mean, snobbish and haughty. It was with this idea that I produced a bottle of perfume, looking beautiful and elegant on the outside, but dirty, disgusting and dark. I packaged this product in packaging that looked like a real perfume, to let the viewer be surprised at what was going on inside.
Series of visuals on foreign alphabets
Carried out while in lockdown, this typography-focused project aimed to explore foreign alphabets, which I'm not used to working with. This constraint forced me to explore layouts, text layouts that were unknown to me before. I find this exploratory work important for expanding your creative field and knowing what you can do with the unknown.
Two drawing about self-vision
Project carried out during lockdown, its objective was to question my own vision of myself, through a diptych. A part represents me as I see myself during lockdown: useless, tired, marked, pale. The other part is the view outside, with the ghost of my reflection in the windows, because it is through this opening that my only view of the outside comes to me.
IRMA 3000, the 8-Bit Fortune-teller, is a blend of occult science and digital science. Program designed both to predict the future and also to encourage you to use. IRMA 3000 is not a fixed mount. It brings together posters, advertisements, fortune-telling. This group project was carried out during my 2nd year of DNA Graphic Design, for the open doors of the Amiens ESAD.
Lune de Miel
Sandwich shop graphic identity
Graphic identity project for a fictitious restaurant. I chose to make a healthy food sandwich shop, located in rue de l'Ours et de la Lune, in Amiens. The basis of the identity is the sympathy that the brand communicates, on the one hand through the graphics used, which is fun, using cheerful colors, but also through the humor associated with communication, through the use of words play in the baseline and on posters.
Poster for the movie "Le Ballon d'Or" by Cheik Doukouré, presented in the 40th birthday section of the Amiens Film Festival. This poster has an additional level of reading, thanks to an augmented reality video produced thanks to Artivive.
